I am currently typing this from my hotel room at Fitbloggin, and it’s already been an awesome experience! I just completed my 3rd 5K, and I’m feeling good! Because of my bum knee situation, I ran the first half and then ran/walked (mostly walked, heh) on the way back. Since I’m meeting so many new people this weekend, I wanted to take an opportunity to introduce myself to any new readers, and refresh the rest of you of exactly who I am (you lucky ducks, you!)


Hi! My name is Gretchen. Er, duh. I’m 23, Whasian, obsessed with my two miniature schnauzers, and so not a natural blonde (what, you can’t tell?) I blog about weight loss, healthy living, and freeing myself from a previous lifestyle of inactivity and disordered eating here at Honey, I Shrunk the Gretchen! I’ve lost over 50 pounds since starting this blog on August 9, 2010, going from 246 lbs to my current weight of 195 lbs. My weight loss journey is by no means complete at this point as I would ideally like to end up somewhere in the realm of 165 pounds, but after being a lifelong dieter this time I know that I’m going to get there. And I’m going to continue to do it right! 🙂

    Just a little note your start date is incorrect I think you meant 2010 not 2011. 😉 just noticed that.
