So it’s ironic that yesterday I posted the first post of my weight loss/health series when I have, in fact, also spent the last day and a half like this:

I almost didn’t tell you guys about being sick, because frankly I get sick so much that it’s really just embarrassing at this point. But then I figured that I’ve been honest with everything on this blog up to this point, I should probably keep that going, haha.

Who knows how being sick is going to affect my weigh in on Monday. Yesterday I made it through the entire day on green tea, a peanut butter and jellied whole wheat hot dog bun, a forkful of whole wheat spaghetti, and most of a can of Amy’s Vegetable & Barley soup that Amandalovingly brought over for me. Urk.

I’m hoping that resting yesterday and today is going to put me back on the up and up for Saturday, because I still have a 5K to run this weekend, come hell or highwater! Think good thoughts for me, folks!

  1. What about that yummy bowl of soup??

    • Hahahaha, how could I forget about the most substantial thing I ate all day!? Fixed it! 🙂

  2. Here’s hoping you feel better soon. You should drink more fluids and make sure your daily Vitamin C is maxed out! Do you ever take a multi-vitamin?

    • I don’t take a multi… but I know that I probably should! They say that food these days just isn’t as nutrient-rich as it used to be (not sure how that happened) so everyone really should be taking a multi-vitamin to supplement the nutrients we need on a daily basis. One more thing to work on, haha.

  3. Hope you feel better! I don’t know if this would help you or not, but some people have said they used to be chronically ill have said that after eliminating gluten and dairy from their diet, that their symptoms went away and their chronic illnesses all but went away. I have a wide range of symptoms that I’m always battling, but haven’t done any type of long-term elimination diets. I suppose I’ll have to one day soon.

    Be well!

    • Yeah, that’s an interesting point. I’ve been dairy-free for a few weeks now (went vegan for Lent) so I’m assuming that’s probably not it, but after Lent is over maybe I’ll take a gluten-free diet for a test run. Not sure how realistic that would be to maintain though… I love my wheat products, ahahahaha.

  4. Aww. I’ve been sick too. Tis the season. Feel better and eat soup!

    • I’ve seriously been seeing a lot of people getting sick — maybe there’s a bug going around the blogosphere 😉

  5. Take some Vitamin C every day!
