Gotta keep the ball rollin’…

Well, I worked out today! I’m not really even sure how, it all happened so fast…

Basically, there’s a gym in my building at work, and a lot of my coworkers go work out during their lunch hour. I just registered myself for the gym today, and brought some stuff in with the somewhat weak intention of going after work. But one thing led to another, and before you know, I was whisked down to the gym with my coworkers after eating a quick lunch.

Anyway, I guess that’s the good kind of peer pressure! I did 30 minutes on the treadmill and elliptical (speedwalking and jogging mix), and then 20 minutes of crunches (3 sets of 25), stretching, and some weight machines. I’m sure my arms will be super sore tomorrow – I haven’t really worked them in a looooooooooooooong time! All in all, though, I think this was a success. And I wasn’t even as gross and sweaty as I thought I’d be by the time I got back into the office!

I think I’ve been fairly good about food today. Here’s where it stands so far:

Breakfast:

4 tablespoons plain nonfat greek yogurt
1 packet splenda
1 teaspoon honey
1/4 cup fresh blueberries

Mid-morning snack:

Yellow bell pepper strips
2 tablespoons plain hummus
2 oz. smoked salmon

Lunch: (pre-workout)

1 – 1.5 cups chicken fried rice (my coworker brought lunch for everyone! I couldn’t help it.)
Diet Dr. Pepper

Lunch (post-workout):

Turkey burger patty

I’ve also been chugging water all day, so I think I’m doing well there. I was much hungrier today than I was yesterday though (probably my body realizing I only ate like 1100 calories yesterday) but I still think I’m doing okay.
